Installation via theme.liquid

The easiest method. Follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Shopify admin
2. Go to Online Store → Themes → Actions → Edit code
3. Find the theme.liquid file in the Layout section
4. Insert the following code before </head>
5. Save your changes

Alternative: Shopify Custom Pixels

For merchants who do not want to edit the theme code.

1. Go to Settings → Customer events → Add custom pixel
2. Name the pixel (e.g. “Consentio”)
3. Paste the code

Blocking Scripts in Shopify

In Shopify templates you can block third-party scripts the same way as on a regular website.

Shopify Markets and Multilingual Support

Consentio automatically detects the language from the lang attribute on the <html> element. Shopify Markets sets this attribute based on the customer's region.
