Installation with Consentio

Add the Pinterest Tag code with type="text/plain" and data-category="marketing" attributes. The Consentio script will activate the tag only after marketing cookie consent is granted.

Google Consent Mode v2

Pinterest Tag does not natively support Google Consent Mode v2. Therefore, you must use script blocking via the type="text/plain" attribute with data-category="marketing", as described above.

Consentio ensures that the tag only loads after marketing consent is granted. Category mapping:

Verification

1. Open DevTools (F12) and go to the Network tab
2. Before granting consent: no requests to ct.pinterest.com
3. After granting marketing consent: the tag should send a page event
4. Verify in Pinterest Ads Manager → Conversions → Tag Manager that the tag appears as active
